Research Interests:

Basin Analysis, employing multiple methodologies on outcrop and subsurface data sets to reconstruct the original sedimentary boundary of the reformed basin, rebuild the basin filling history etc.

Sedimentary Geology, especially field-based fluvial, delta and lacustrine sedimentary facies analysis, outcrop description are my principal research interests.

Thermal History Reconstruction of sedimentary basin and orogen. Thermonology such as fission track analysis are combined with the theory of basin-mountain coupling.

l  Undergraduate Course: Depositional environments and sedimentary facies.

l  Graduate Courses: Sedimentary basin analysis (2 lectures), Hydrocarbon exploration and resource evaluation.
